| Upon retiring from the world of American Cockers, and then quite of few years of purebred rescue, I met my first Pei. A rescue named Teeki. She was a wonderful black bearcoat, and taught us all here about the tenderness this breed allows you to see and the toughness they generally do not. We then purchased Beanie Baby, a bearcoat Pei...then came our Chyna. I then realized that I was hooked and could not resist giving this breed a whirl. The childlike similarity in this breed is amazing. To bring a Shar Pei into your life is truly like adopting a little person! Being a seasoned breeder, I gained much experience regarding both sides of the fence~taking the time to do this right vs. the ones that don't! I vigorously studied and researched this breed. To this day, I do not stop learning, reading, researching and talking to other breeders. By doing this, myself and other caring breeders avoid "hot" lines and lines that heavily contain Amyloid, Cancer, among other genetic killers. We pride ourselves in what research we have done, and continue to do our very best to insure health in the generations to come. In 2003, we welcomed a new breed into our lives....the Doberman Pinscher. A complete opposite in the group category, our Dobes have shown us once again the strength each dog has on it's breed. Like the Shar Pei, we have researched the lines, the lineage and have taken much pride in each dog we have. Our Doberman are of strong/health import X American lines. Like our Shar Pei, they are socialized with all ages; animals, and people. We welcome any and all to our home at anytime. Our wonderful stock, pedigree, and questions are at the disposal of serious inquiries. The coffee is always on, or the iced tea....weather providing. Our dogs are fed Purina brands mixed, exclusively. We add cooked varities of all meats and many vegetables daily. After our move to the country, and our DREAM HOME, we now getting more involved with rescue, transport, and foster as opposed to any breeding, showing, etc. Our dogs remain a HUGE part of our life, as we've also taken on opening our land to small barn animals that need new homes due to many situations. As the economy bounces up and down, we always are here to lend a hand to anyone that has to surrender their animals. |
